WOW! Volkswagen have done it again, the Polo GTI is a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing. My colleague and I recently took the GTI for spin and driving from Midrand to Northcliff was definitely the most exciting drive ever. Powered by a 1.4 litre 132kW TSI motor one would expect it to be very reserved because of its small derivative, I certainly thought so. You know the saying that goes 'don't judge a book by its cover', yes, that's what I did and my word did it prove me wrong I was baffled at how powerful this little pocket rocket really is, reving easily to 6500rpm thanks to a lighting quick DSG gearbox.
The interior is well dressed showing off sporty red stretching on the bucket seats and on the gear lever. The thing I liked most was the change in dashboard colours from blue to snow white giving the interior a sporty feel. This particular model came with a black 18'' mag wheel which made its presences known. VW could have designed an exhaust note to compliment that demonic engine.
Other than that I think they have hit the nail on the head.
